ISS-LUMO adds two more international schools to its rapidly growing network
SAVONLINNA, FINLAND (February 17, 2022) – SISU School Cancún and SISU School Saltillo will be the first Mexico-based schools in the growing global network, which now includes international SISU Schools® in four different continents.
The new SISU Schools® will follow the SISU model, developed through a collaboration of education leaders International Schools Services (ISS) and Lumo Education. The revolutionary K-12 program is a unique blend of the best educational practices from two of the world's most acknowledged and recognized educational systems: Finnish and American. The SISU program covers the entire K-12 educational continuum and can be used in any country and in any language.
Both schools will open for the academic year 2022-2023 with an elementary program. The schools will gradually expand to provide the whole K-12 continuum. The schools are the first in Mexico to combine the Finnish education model with American international standards.
The two new schools are being commissioned by Miss Nahara Maroto Espinosa, Mr. Carlos Maroto Espinosa and Ms. Natalia Maroto Espinosa on behalf of their long-standing family education businesses GEE Programa de Desarrollo and GEE Afecto, Juego y Desarrollo. Miss Maroto Espinosa commented on her decision, “Being immersed in the educational environment, as entrepreneurs and as parents with young children, we have faced the lack of innovative educational systems in our community, which are not up to the demands and needs of the new generations. We know that Finnish education has been a world reference in the last 10 years, so we took on the task of looking for a franchise that would provide us a competitive option to be able to replicate it successfully in our country. That is how we found SISU, an educational franchise with world-class academic support. We are very excited to start this adventure with the experts.”
SISU School Cancún and SISU School Saltillo will be the sixth and seventh school project contracts signed under the SISU network in the last 10 months. ISS and Lumo officials have several other schools under active discussion. SISU School license holders can decide whether to start small and scale up gradually from kindergarten to elementary grades or open all the levels at once. The SISU Schools professionals are also open to welcome existing kindergartens and schools to join the network to provide the SISU School curriculum, program, training, and branding.
Miss Espinosa concluded, “We were looking for a franchise with first-class educational innovation, and at the same time with a consolidated academic, operative and management support. With SISU, we found the best option, with people who are experts in the field and who share our passion for quality education”.
SISU Schools® is a K-12 school concept and a registered trademark of Lumo Education Ltd. and International Schools Services.
