Generations International School joins the growing SISU School Network
SAVONLINNA, FINLAND (January 12, 2023) – Generations International School is the latest addition to the fast-growing SISU Schools® global franchise network. The new school emerges from the shared vision of the Macau SAR Government and ACSLIM, a nonprofit association formed by a Macanese group dedicated to the promotion and elevation of their culture and educational values.
Edith Jorge, CEO of ACSLIM and Chairman of the Board of the Generations International School, commented on the decision to be part of the SISU network, “We found the latitude given by SISU Schools in the way we structured and built our vision with them truly exceptional. We believe that, in addition to brilliant people, SISU truly celebrates diversity of approaches, and truly respects cultural and local values in the way the project is conceived and developed. It brings the best international practices, namely the remarkable Finnish approach, to the project while adjusting to the specific needs of the project. This immense flexibility, respect and dedication to allowing each of their schools to be part of their SISU family yet maintaining their local individuality and purpose, was a very inspiring experience for us.”
Generations International School will launch in a competitive education sector, but its unique vision will differentiate the school. Notably, Generations International School will combine an international focus with tenets from Macau, such as fostering an environment that develops and nurtures the learning of languages, as well as the promotion of cultural and communication skills and knowledge. The school offers a unique tri-lingual program in English, Mandarin and Portuguese. The five-story school building will open in August of 2023, offering in its first year of operations three levels of Kindergarten (K1-K3) and three levels of Primary (Grade 1 to Grade 3). Generations International School will ultimately serve students from K1 – Secondary 6 (Grade 12), with an anticipated enrollment capacity of just under 800 students.
The SISU school network, part of a collaboration between industry leaders International Schools Services (ISS) and Lumo Education Ltd., now includes more than 15 school projects around the world. The first school, SISU School Punta Cana, opened its doors in September 2021 and has already dramatically increased enrollment. The appeal of SISU K12 school franchise for investors and educators is due to its core focus on quality education while providing the ability to open an international school on a shorter timeline, with an array of standardized services.
SISU Schools® is a K-12 school concept and a registered trademark of Lumo Education Ltd. and International Schools Services. For more information, contact thawkins@iss.edu or aki.halko@lumoeducation.com. Additional information may also be found at sisuschools.com.
